With the exception of occasional jamming with old friends (notably Rash and RMF both including long time friend Scott), Roz had been on a musical hiatus for over ten years prior to joining SOS in May 2007. 

His most notable experience prior to SOS came as a member of the acoustic trio Trinity (Roz, Todd Staudinger, and Mark Thomas) based in Potsdam NY in the late 80s and early 90s.  They gigged frequently in the area during those years including gigs in front of several thousand people at beer blasts and while opening for The Band at Clarkson University in 1990. They released twelve original songs on the Acoustic Ham cassette release in 1990. SOS currently plays two of those songs in their live show. They released the Trinity Live CD in 2006 which consists of live recordings from 1989-90. Check out Todd's current band Betty's Not A Vitamin
